- “ pleasant ambience in excellent area of downtown Washington, D.C: 1: walk to Union Station, busses and trains, metro, MARC 2: infornative interesting walks along H street corridor and beyond; 3: safe street walking even 2am - dawn the only downside to this hostel was an (admitted by staff) shortage of toilet/shower space for number of guests ”

- “ Bad thing : bed, restroom, and other facilities are not that decent. Room was small. You have to take bus to go to the museum area. Breakfast is very simple. Good thing : Relatively cheaper, Very friendly staffs, early check in time, free bag keeping and friendly atmosphere. Free laundry ”

- “ A really nice Hostel, with a nice Athmosphere. Feels a little bit like a shared appartement with nice living room/eating room with TV and stuff, shared kitchen, equipped, and no shoes policy. I enjoyed my stay a lot! ”

- “ I stood only for one day, and it was ok, the only thing I didn't like was the fact that there is place where you can keep your stuff locked, only if you bring your own locker. But the rest was fine :) ”

- “ I saw a roach in the kitchen and the bathroom towels for hand washing were either not there or dirty; the location is in a decent area, but go down H St. a little further east and it gets sketchy real fast. One of the staff turned up the TV in the common room to drown out conversation because he wanted to watch a documentary about legalizing pot. This seems pretty contrary to the idea of meeting and talking to new people at a hostel. Overall, this place is decent enough but not great. ”

- “ What a nice place to stay! It's in a cool upcoming neighborhood with bike share around the corner, intimate and therefore very easy to get to know other people, staff is great and helpfull, the pancake breakfast tasty. Only 2 small downsides are that the 3 toilets and showers are combined so sometimes you have to wait a bit, and breakfast is only from 9-10. Although, I recommend this place highly! ”

- “ The stay was vey nice! The stuff was very friendly, helpful and open-minded. The only thing we missed was some more space in our room, to put a table in or at least a litte bedside cabinet with an extra light. ”

- “ I think this would be a good place to stay for younger people, or people traveling in groups. Everyone seemed nice enough; but, if you are traveling solo, be forewarned - mixed dorm really means mixed dorm - I was the only woman in a room where six other men stayed (cue anxiety). Also only two bathrooms, and I believe the occupancy is about fifty or so people. But, everyone there seemed to enjoy themselves, and the free pancake breakfast is really pleasant and a nice way to meet other travelers. ”

- “ Manager was pushy and location was dodgy. Got a bad vibe from the start. Strong party atmosphere - great if that's what you're going for, but I wasn't. Rooms are small and there isn't much space for your things (no space at all if you're on the top bunk), and few outlets for charging electronics. The fact that they charge you 2 days in advance and require 42 hours notice for cancellation is very inconvenient. As a woman, I did not feel safe in either the neighborhood nor the hostel. ”

- “ A great place to stay in DC, very close to Union Station and walking distance to the Capitol and Mall. The staff are friendly and accommodating. And free breakfast, can't beat that. ”

- “ The hostel was very nice, the location is excellent as it is very close to union station and there is a grocery store on the next block. The free use of the kitchen was awesome as well as the washer & dryer. My only complaints are if the rooms could possibly be separated into male/female rooms (Its not a pleasant sight to wake up and see an overweight older man in his white briefs) and if the bathrooms could be cleaned 3-4 times a day instead of just once. I'd still recommend and will return. ”

- “ Staffs were really friendly and helpful all the time during my stay. Love the pancakes in the morning. And the common room was really cozy that most people like to stay there, talking and making new friends in the evening. The location is convenient for taking the subway and trains to other cities. However, cannot say that the neighborhood is the best choice for people who are traveling alone, especially for girls. ”

- “ The staff was great and the location even better! You are just blocks away from the station and you can pretty much see the Capitol from the hostel. ”

- “ Decent location, about a 5 minute walk to the station and a 20 minute walk to the Smithsonian area. Stayed there two nights. Only problem was probably the manager (don't remember his name but always wore a cap), wasn't really helpful and half drunk both evenings. I'd understood if he was drinking good beer, but he was drunk off PBR. Really? Who gets drunk off PBR? Was also busy trying to flirt with the female guests. But if you are only going to stay here to sleep, then don't let this stop you. ”
