Downtowner Inn in Toronto, Canada

The location is good to walk to the city. The neighbourhood is not really safe and clean, but for a short time it's all right. The breakfast is good with a really nice staff. Internet and local phone are really useful and available all the time. The problem is the refund in case you find a place to stay and you have paid more nights!!! no refund or negociation possible!!! This young hostel is situated in five minutes of the downtown it's not too much but the security was bad (when you close the door, a big space stay between the door)+everybody can enterin the hostel and the grouwnd, and for the cleaning : too bad, my room was damp, and it was situated in front of a ruddish!!! I came to this hostel a few months ago and didn't really like it because of how dingy it looked. But I came back this summer because of the price. They have really upgraded the place. It's much cleaner plus they know have a little computer lab section. It's very close to all the downtown attractions as well. I will def be back, they r upgrading. If you just want a place to sleep and take a shower this is the place. It's quiet at night, this is not a party hostel. Kenneth, from Canada ~ 22nd Jun 2009

OMG! this is the worst Hostel in TORONTO! ALthough the rate is much lower than other hostel, but the services, room, basically EVERYTHING is bad. The first room they gave me was terrible, there were 2 guys living there for a long period of time, so i decided to change another room.
