This hostel is only good because its not in the Chungking or Mirador mansions. Its in a pretty cool part of town called Mongkok and close to the MTR so the location is great. But the room was seriously 7x9 in size and the staff wasn't particularly friendly or helpful. They also made us pay up front for all four nights which I thought was unfair. I like to pay as I go. My bed had bed bugs. The staff's reaction: "Sorry." I expected a more appropriate service, especially when dealing with hygene aspects and charging the full price.
We not only reacted "sorry", but also checked with you about the sitaution, why you did not say about this? When you checked in, all things are new as you saw; we also checked the room after you had check out, but could not find the said bugs. of course, we cleaned and pest-controled the room after that. Because we are afriad the bugs may be new start. Our record shows that previous guests stay 3days, 4days, 3days, 6days continously, no complaints at all in long time. then u stayed only for 2nights, to claimed the bugs, and asked us for the money? We just cannot arrnage that. By the way, you had just finished trip from china and the first day in hk have itchy?

1) should do daily clean up (floor, bed, toilet, dustbin) 2) towel should be in good & clean condition (it always have smell, stained on the towel)
We do room cleaning every afternoon. You have arrived in the afternoon of 1st day, we did not service your room after checked-in the 1st day, as its already all new. On 2nd-3rd days, we had done the room cleaning definately as we checked the cleaning log and CCTV record. Guests can ask for room service anytime 24hrs. We've done room service at early morning and even after midnight many times, since guests dropped drinks/food on the floor/bed... Indeed, if you put the sign of "No service required" on the door lock, that we do not enter the room tho. Clean towels can be collected at the reception 24hrs. Guests can exchange new towel after used or if found stained. But you did not mention in 4days stay? We thank for your valuable comment, and already discussed with our staff, to make sure guests have clear idea of our service and arrangement. Moreover, we will keep improving the services standard and room condition.

Tiny box room, but to be expected. Think bunkbeds and you are on the way there. Old woman literally grabbed our money threw us in the room when we got there. There are better hostels out and about if you have a look and are willing to barter. A little hard to find, it's right on top of the mobile phone shopping centre. We stayed for three nights as we had paid upfront. Managed to check in on time so not sure how hard they are on the checking times as it says they can cancel your booking after be
The check-in process is easy and comfort for all guests. The words of "grabbed our money threw us in the room" is really not fair to us. We welcome all queries, and we are willing to take care your travel needs. Staff is 24hrs on duty, and guest can chat with us anytime. If there is difficulty to locate us, guest can call us or ask the shops/street people to call us also. Guests are free to select the arrival time. The 2hours limit is only after your "selected" period. We also have more room selections, from the single to 5people family rooms, of couse the bigger room has more space.

Dragon Hostel was great. I went by reviews online and considering Hong Kong is a really expensive international city, as a solo American female traveler I was really happy with this hostel. I had a private single room with bathroom and it was just fine for the price. Everything worked. The boss gave all the rooms to European, U.S.A or whatever western travellers on 7th floor, rent another room(too small!) from another hostel on 11th floor for me. Not very happy! I booked 2 months ago! Discrimination! Look after blond people. My room doesn't have a window, I hate room without a window! No phone at room either! They said: had phone in room. Won't come back!
That is totally Wrong! We never do such arrangement! just the room allocation on that day. I don't know why u say this word, you might have bad experience in other place, but i am also a chinese, why i do such discrimination to my country! It is already a "libel". I reserve all rights to take further legal action.
