location was a bit far from the center, a nice walk through town though. I noticed the rooms were cheap but the hosts make up for that by charging outrageous prices for other services like kitchen use, rides places etc.

I stayed in the room upstairs with the mos amazing view I've ever had overlooking the old town and more. It is a 20 min walk into the old town though and you're best catching the bus or taxi on the way up. Bathroom needs to be more cleaned but apart from that, great place for price.

I like this hostel, the lady and man were quite friendly and I appreciate the breakfast and dinner.They were amazing and cheap comparing eating outside.

This is the best place! You live in the attic of a hostel coz were 5 ppl and the lady is really nice. They even get you from the airport for 200kuna! right on the harbour centre of everything!
This hostel has amazing views with a really friendly family...it is a bit of a trek from the old city and prepare for steps..lots of them!!
Dubrovnik Youth Service isn't a single hostel, they seem to have a number of locations and will put you up wherever they have space. So location is not guaranteed.

it would have been nice to know the address of the place and the name of the place where we were staying before being picked up from the port instead of just having the name Dubrovnik Youth services.

<<<<>>Received very bad service from all staff members from sergio to cleaning girl. transferred between numerous rooms in different houses/apartments in city. At second place, the owner old man barged his way in whilst I was on the toilet in a booked private room. Cooking facilities did not work, toilet leaked, room was very old and dirty. owner enters rooms like you are not staying there. Stay away if i was you.

Note that this is a booking service. They will place you in pension from a selection in their database. The one we got was fantastic. Great view over the old town, and only 10 mins walk down to town. (the walk up was harder :) ) The place was exceptionally clean. Only negative was they made us pay 100kn for a lift back to bus station even though the pick up is included free.
People that ran the place were fantastic so friendly and helpful. Also their bbq all you can eat special was delicious and great value for money. would recommend to others
