Duo Housing is ok. There are cleaner and more accommodating hostels out there. The beds are not comfortable, the shared refrigerators are overstuffed and no towels/soap/linens are provided. The bathrooms/common areas are acceptable. The staff is nice but don't seem to care too much about keeping the place organized. For the same price I've been to nicer hostels in more expensive cities (Tokyo and Honolulu). The location is about the best Duo Housing has to offer. Mark, from USA ~ 15th May 2012

This Hostel is a Hidden Gem in Los Angeles.You could spend a day at the beach, and have drinks in Hollywood at night all while never being a very far from home base. The Atmosphere very relaxing and the staff have never failed to be amazing.Whether you have a Car or are hiking it on Public Transit, the Duo has an amazing array of options very close by. You can easily get to Santa Monica, Venice and Hollywood by bus or Take the Tube to Universal City, or North Hollywood nathaniel, from USA ~ 22nd Apr 2012

Friendly, knowledgeable and approachable staff! No keys for any of the doors and no locking of the main door in the evenings. Nowhere to securely store luggage etc. There is CCTV in the hostel but I could only ever see 1 member of staff on duty.Also - not very clean/well looked after. The skylight in one of the upstairs bathrooms leaked, shelves broke and neither smelt good! I did note that all the staff were male and that it was a very male hostel would benefit from a woman or two on staff Rachel, from England ~ 25th Apr 2012

A fun and very party hostel were u will feel like home. Most of the staff are awesome and very helpful . We stayed in a 4 bed doorm that was really small and the beds are really uncomfortable but we had a bathroom in the room so that was good. Free wifi, pancakes, on demand movies and parking right outside. The bus is right outside the hostel and takes about 10 minutes to Hollywood blvd and Downtown. All over a good Hostel that I definitly can recomend Saga, from Sweden ~ 23rd Mar 2012

We have a great time in Duo Housing! It was like at home! The staff was always present and gave us a lot of advices about Los Angeles! We didn`t have a car, the place of the hostel was convenient to travel an visit the city by the bus. If you want to meet a lof of people and have fun in L.A. you have to go to Duo Housing!!
