- “ After my stay @ Duo Housing LA I regret it was only for 1 night. The atmosphere was wonderfull, it felt like staying with your friends. That makes sharing a small room with 5 others even comfortable. Besides, the common living room, kitchen and place in front of the house make up for it. What makes Duo Housing really good is the attitude of the staff towards their job. I also liked the house, it felt like living in a real American family home. The subway is only far away for those who can't walk ”

- “ There's nothing more to say than that this was the best hostel I ever went to! The atmosphere, the staff, the people...just awesome. The location was convenient, within walking distance to public transportation. Besides they have parking lots just in front of the house which is great if you arrive by car. I will definitely go there again next time I visit L.A.. ”

- “ Truly felt like home. I wish the 4-bed room had more space (You pay more for the room thinking that, but it's actually better to pay less, and get a 6-bed room. The pillows/matresses could use some updating. But all of that is small compared to the benefit of the VIBE. That's the most important thing and I just loved the vibe of this place. ”

- “ Just the bathroom situation; so i showered in the afternoon/evenings no wait and plenty of hot water; during the morning rush the bathroom can be a wait and hot water may run out. I originally wanted to stay in an "all male dorm" but that day they put a female in, no worries maybe the place was booked, but i could not be myself, and when i was in the room and she needed to change she asked me to leave the "all male dorm"; now you know why i prefer to stay in all male dorms. ”

- “ Very nice hostel. You feel like home when you arrive. Great people working there. The rooms are a bit small but they have two big kitchens. ”

- “ This place rocked. The staff was fantastic, and extremely eager and able to help my friend and I get around the crazy city of LA. I think I actually felt safer and more at home here than I do staying at most hotels - I could leave my phone out overnight and not even think twice about it. It's located right by a Metro bus drop off point, which is nice, but is still a little difficult/far away from some of the more popular attractions of LA. Still, awesome staff, amazing people, great place. ”

- “ Duo Housing is a great place to be! It's a bit far away from the usual tourist locations, but it's well connected to Santa Monica and the beach and Hollywood Boulevard, the Universal Studios and all the other major attractions. The staff is very nice and helpful, the atmosphere is great, and pretty much every night they organize something for the guest to socialize. The only problem is that the hostel's door is never locked, but there are lockers and security cameras everywhere, so it's not bad. ”

- “ There were no windows or air conditioning in the room. There were 2 sets of bunk beds in a VERY small room with barely enough room to fit the 4 guests in let alone their luggage. Room temperature was somewhere above boiling due to no window or air con. Member of staff on desk 24hrs with front door always unlocked...The member of staff was asleep when we woke up early - not what i would call good security! Nice staff. ”

- “ Its a good place to stay. Nothing really special, but you get what you pay for. The staff is really friendly. The parking is on the street, there is not a private place to do it. Perhaps the ventilation in the room is not proper. Its located pretty close to downtown, but far from main turistic places. We had a car so we could move anywhere, but subway is not really far from there ”

- “ The hostel is pretty safe and the staff is very nice and helpful, the location is also great, free wifi, towels and kitchen. The beds are not the best and all of their bathrooms have water leaks which they should really fix, other than that duo is great. ”

- “ Nothing impressive apart from its nice staff and location. Sheets look used and dirty, lack of restrooms, loo paper constantly running out. Doors unlocked 24/7, which is no good especially when the only staff on duty is not at the front desk. However it's a good value for a few nights' stay if you are not too fussy. ”

- “ We had a very small room to sleep in with four people, but the most ennoying was al the noise coming from the reception at night. Two bad nights. But their kindness makes it good for the greater part. ”
