  • Beautiful place, but the pillows were thin and hard.

  • Great place to stay over. It is very nicely decorated and very nice tatami style rooms and beds. Even though for small things you were required to pay (shower gel and stuff), the staff was very helpful and considerate. We booked 2 separate rooms (male & female), however one room was not occupied by others so we were given the entire room as a private. Would definitely go back here again.

  • Very good hostel. Approximately 15 min wall from jr station. Not far away from the castle and several museums. You can rent electrical bikes which are real fun for 500 yen a day. If you rent bikes you get also discount tickets for most of the attractions in town. Only minor point is that the kitchen is very small. We had a room for four persons which was ok. I saw the two person rooms on the first floor, and those were really small. You cash lite down in it together and the room us full.

  • I am a little bit unsure what to say, Wonderful japanese style hostel, clean, could not ask for anything more.BUT already on the first day i killed 2 bugs. I did not think much off it, no problem the first night. The morning after the second night I thought I got a few mosquito bites. About 1 hour after we left I found several more spots which started to itch rather strongly, becoming red and swollen. As it turns out they were bug bites. 32 OF THEM!!! I am sorry, sadly that is too much to ignore!

  • This hostel is absolutely lovely! I wish that we could have spent more time there and took advantage of the dying classes. Our twin room was quite small but it was fine for one night. The linens and room were quite clean as was the rest of the hostel. Plus, the view from the top is breathtaking, especially at night! :-)

  • My friend and I arrived at one of the bus stations in Kumomoto late at night well past check in time so we called this hostel which we had booked online earlier that day and told the voice on the other end that we were lost and did not know where the hostel was. Before we could ask for directions the man told us where to stay and that he was coming to get us. He was so friendly when he arrived even though he specifically stayed at the hostel waiting only on us and then had to come get us. When

  • Decent location and very clean. However there is no where to store dry goods in the kitchen which is annoying. Large common room with a massive TV and friendly staff.
