We had a great time in Berlin. The location on the river Spree next to the Wall is very special. Our double bedroom was nice and warm, and was so spacious - there was a vacant bunk bed to spread out all our stuff. We were so exhausted we didn't make it up to the bar, but it looked pretty cool on Wednesday night. I would recommend this unique accommodation and we would stay there again!

This was probably my favourite hostel that we stayed in in Berlin, mainly because of its originality. It's lovely to wake up to the sound of water lapping against the side of the boat! Also since the communal area for breakfast isn't that big it's a very sociable place and easy to meet others staying there. We stay in a 4 dorm with en suite. It was a fine size for the 2 of us, but I imagine with a full room there may not be much space for everyone, especially with luggage. The ensuite bathroom is also very small, but I was expecting this since it was a small cabin and a boat has only so much space. It's right beside the East Side Gallery and takes about 30 mins to walk to Alexanderplatz...or its about a 5 min walk away from an S-bahn station. There is also a very sweet cat that lives on board and lovely views of the bridge outside the windows. I would reccoment booking a private room to ensure you had a sufficient amount of space. The hostel could also provide lockers for luggage since checkin isn't til 4...however, they are happy to let you leave your luggage with them. My only real disappointment was that the upstairs bar/lounge wasn't open, and they didn't really say why, but overall a super, quaint and original experience, for people wanting a break from the norm! Absolutely!

I think it should be made clear that check-in will not be allowed until 4pm. I did not feel comfortable leaving my luggage in the dining area with everyone else´s luggage. Other than that, the receptionists were very kind and helpful!

We enjoyed our stay considering it was in December. The cabin was quite damp. We will go first class next time. All in all it was very reasonable and enjoyable.
