Made sty in Beijing a disaster.Front desk Julie conducted herself very badly;lacked integrity as quoted a negotiated price n later turned it dwn.Ought 2 b sacked!Mangemnt very unprofessional, place in basement therefore no ventilation,no kitchenette,nd 2 pay for computer internet and toilet dirty.Unlivable!.It should be removed from ties 2 Hostelling International and U Hostels..does not reflect their standards. This is the worst hostel I have experiencd.Shouldnt be listed!

Should not expect more for this price, underground. 24hr hot water is not true. Anyway was good as a transit-accomodation.

my room was noisy. actually all the rooms are. the ventilation is on the whole day and making a strange, loud noize. it's only off between 11pm and 6am. the staff at reception does hardly speak english. but in the bar (if you want to call it like that) they're ok. i only stayed there for so long because of the cheap price for a single and becase of the good location!

It seems most of the staff I asked were students on summer holiday and had been there only a short while. They did do what they could to assist but some of them had quite limited English skills, others were better. Very enjoyable visit, all in all.

The rooms are not cleaned very well at all. They should also be renovated or repainted. Maybe air condition would be a better idea than a fan. Also a bedlamp would be nice, because the one in the ceiling is too bright and you cannot turn it on and off from the bed.
