Really neat concept, the houseboat has been nicely converted, and the eco idea throughout never seems fake. Pretty small, less than 20 beds total, so you get to know everyone in the great common room. Good wifi, too. Location is ok, 10-15 minute walk to town center, and the area immediately around the hostel isn't very exciting. Stephen, from USA ~ 8th Sep 2011

Yes, it is actually on a boat!It is a little small, but they dont pack too many people in it anyway.Everything is clean, there is a nice little common room, or you can spend some time on the deck. Wi-fi is free, and reliable in the common areas, although all the steel in the boat makes it hard to get a signal in the rooms. It did get a little chilly in the room at night, but thats the only con. Max, from USA ~ 3rd Jul 2011

So of course I was hesitant about staying on a boat, but after one night here I truly wish that this boat could take us all around Europe so we could stay there every night. We really loved it. Quiet, comfortable, clean, and honestly the best hostel we've stayed in out of 10. It's just a little far away from the city center. Jacob, from USA ~ 16th Jun 2011

Great place to stay, not too far from the center, even by walking ! It's a houseboat, and in a city like Ghent, it's really great. I'll stay there again in July. Vincent, from Belgium ~ 14th May 2011
