This hostel was ok. It was abit out of the way, with a very hilly walk to get to it. The place was clean but there was next to no security and if you want a good nights sleep this is not the place for you - the doorbell goes at all hours and you can hear everything from inside the hostel. There is also no air conditioning which is a muct in this country! It served a purpose but could have been a lot better.

Location very poor - well out of the way, big trek from nearest metro up HUGE hills. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. No drinking alcohol allowed in the hostel. Terrace closed by 9pm!! Silence enfotrced after 11pm!!! Felt more like a prison camp. I will not ever be returning.

could be much cleaner, but then again from my experience all hostel showers and bathroom area's aren't great. rooms and beds are comfortable enough. overall it served it's purpose, but i'd definately look into other places to stay if i were to stay in rome agian. staff made an effort to be friendly though which was the nice unique thing about ivanhoe.

The location is terrible. Way outside the city, and long hike to get there. The building has no character. The beds are creaky and loud. The staff was nice and helpful, but this did not make it much better.

problem in transportation in night. Barcelona iss famouss for movida! I think you should use a service car as shuttle, not free of course.

i would only stay here if it is your last resort. it´s not a bad hostel but it is certainly not great either and for what you pay you could get much better elsewhere. security is poor with no keys to lock the dorms, has small lockers but not big enough for even smallest backpack. location is poor. quick metro ride but 15min walk up a very very steep hill which is horrendous in the heat. rooms small with no AC or proper window.
