I am a Canadian living and working in Buenos Aires.I was travelling along the coast of Uruguay with my friend, and we decided to check out punta del diablo, and stay at El Diablo Tranquilo, which we had heard good things about from several people. I don't normally write reviews of hostels, but I really had an incredible experience there, and I wanted to share it with you. Where to begin?? First of all, the hostel was extremely clean, comfortable and "buena onda - good vibes".In the mor David, from Canada ~ 20th Nov 2011

The internet basically never worked and the staff was quite shortspoken. We did not like the bread they served at the breakfast. Further they also tried to charge as much more than we booked, which was quite unpleasant. Dorm and "living room" were very dark, at least too dark to read... but they have a chimney! :) They are rude with dogs. -.- Marion, from Austria ~ 2nd Oct 2011

Very nice Hostel, I recommend! The staff are friendly and well prepared! Could ever pay by credit card, they provide towels for free, there is also parking for cars. The bathrooms and rooms are clean and organized! A hug to Carol, Richard and staff! Alexandre, from Brazil ~ 26th Apr 2011
