El hogar de Carmelita es definitivamente un 100%. Cuartos muy amplios, muy limpios, y muy seguros!!. A nueve minutos caminando del centro. Cruzando la calle esta la parada de camiones que los lleva a todos los puntos de la ciudad. Los empleados son muy amables y estan listos para ayudar en todo momento. La ciudad es de las mas bellas que he visto. Se las recomiendo, y dejen su critica para ayudarle a carmelita, se lo merece. This is a great place, a little out of the city center but not a problem at all to get there. The location might actually be an advantage because this way, we got to see the amazing Guanajuato tunnels. The owner is very helpful and went out of her way to help me and my friend find a car to rent. I highly recommend this hostel! Maria, from USA ~ 25th Jul 2009

It was great! Carmen is the owner/operator, and she typically includes your first meal there free (either dinner the night you come in or breakfast the next day). She can also do your laundry, though it might take a while to dry, esp. during the rainy season. Overall, my stay was fantastic - one of the best hosteling experiences I\'ve ever had! El Hogar de Carmelita is a great hostel. The house and rooms are nice, and they are always clean. The bathrooms also stay clean. Carmen is extremely hospitable and welcomes you into her home. She also cooks a great breakfast. It is a 15-20 minute walk to downtown, and there is a bust stop right across the road. I highly recommend this hostel. Shane, from USA ~ 29th Jun 2009
