  • For location, security, great people & access to organized activities, this place is fantastic. If you need space, or you like to cook in, I would recommend going elsewhere. Also, do not use their laundry service - my stuff came back late with some bleach stains. Also, a message to El Misti House - get rid of the motion sensor lighting in your bathrooms! Sad how much water I wasted getting out of the shower every other minute to reactivate the lights.

  • The hostel advertises that they have a kitchen, but 6 out of 7 nights a week they offer a dinner at a cost and the kitchen is taken over from pretty much every night from 6-9pm and they guy cooking doesn´t seem to keen on sharing space. Bathrooms need a good scrub! Marcos is awesome!

  • Way too many people for the space possible to occupy. I think there is a good idea behing the thing, but I repeat myself, way to many people: bathrooms are always occupied, staff is overloaded so can't take care of everyone...

  • This was by far the best hostel I stayed in. Not only the location is perfect - close to the beach, and easy transport access - but also the staff is really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is just what every traveller is looking for.Breakfast is included and you can eat as much as you want which is great to start the day, they have wi-fi and laundry service which I find quite useful. My expectations about these place where overpassed, I will definitelly come back, and I recomend it for sure

  • I like this hostel but the rooms are tiny and air conditioning is poorly and insuficient. Staff is awasome and the breakfast is included in the final price, wich is pretty good. I would recomend to stay here if you are in a budget and like to party. It has good enviroment and the price is convenient, but lacks in acomodations.

  • At first very friendly staff but after check-in they did´nt seem interested at all. The atmosphere and facilities were ok. Overall a decent hostel close to the Copacabana.

  • El Misti House Copacabana is a great place to meet people, beers and caiparinas flow in hostel lounge every night and the food from the in house chef is excellent and cheap. Perfect location for the beach, metro and buses and all the tours you book in the hostel pick you up from the door!!! The staff are incredibly helpful and will help you organise your time in Rio and in Brazil if you need it! 5/5 :)

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
