Very helpful owner---she even dropped us off at her favorite restaurant in town when we asked for suggestions. Delicious breakfast. Overall a really great value.

The owner of El Punto is wonderful! Mariana will go out of her way to make your stay in Liberia an amazing one. It is a hotel and can \"be\" a hostel -- we stayed here in a private room with our own bath/shower and a small kitchenette. The hotel is spotless, the staff friendly, and the town of Liberia is fascinating. Beautiful place. Remember, though, this is Costa Rica ... leave your cultural standards at home and enjoy. The staff put fruit, yogurt and hot coffee out for us, even tho we left at 5AM to catch our flight back to USA...and the beds were great and the "loft" for ourt two kids was perfect...

very nice, bright fun little inn. A bit noisy, right off the main road, but good beds and linens, nice amenities and lots of funky charm.

the regular rate at your hotel is $80 per night and yet we paid $106? It is a very nice place and would stay again but the rates are a question to us. Very best showers in Costa Rica and your paintings are quite good Marianna. Rick and Linda

The owner of El Punto has paid a great deal of attention to the small details that make this hotel unique. It has fun bright colours and lovely guest seating areas to encourage conversation and comfort. The breakfast was excellent. The location is handy to a supermarket and restaurants.

Friday night dinner was excellent. Rooms were not air tight and so bugs came in. Rowdy bar across street woke us up at 2am. All in all a good experience.

Cute place but pricey. Kind of deserted place but maybe because we stayed there on a Sunday night. Breakfast was wonderful. However - they were not expecting us - not sure if Hostelworld did not pass on our reservation or El Punto missed the reservation - that was dissapointing, although they did have a room available luckily.

This place is very sweet. Not your typical hotel. The bright colors, hammocks and unique design features are quite remarkable. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but you probably want some spanish vocab if you want to appreciate them fully. It is a surprising escape from the Interamerican Highway and hot, dusty, cattle country surroundings.
