Elbrus has the most convenient location, service is superb. Hot shower and heater can be delivered to your room if necessary! Also additional services such as trips in Kathmandu area can be found under the same roof. We also took our trekking tour from Elbrus and it was amazing! No negative words to say from Elbrus! The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful in organizing additional tours and treks. They also brought us heaters when it was cold in our room. Cleanliness of the place wasn't the best, but then again it was good value for the money. Our trekking guide Babu was the best! Ask for him, if you want to go trekking! I had a wonderful stay at Elbrus Home and enjoyed the most comfortable bed and pillow I have experienced in my 3 months of traveling through Asia!The staff was tremendously outgoing and VERY helpful in accommodating us when we unexpectedly needed to stay 2 extra nights.The location is very close to the hub of Thamel- less than a 5 minute walk.Also, the free breakfast is delicious!I highly recommend this place! Best staff I experienced in years. Was a good stay for 2 nights in the middle of the best area of Kathmandu (Thamel). Very nice mountainview from the rooftop. Good breakfast included, and very clean rooms and showers. Fast internet, and booked some good trips with the owner, very cheap comparing to other tripagencies. Stayed at this hostel in Kathmandu for several days. Great service, very friendly staff, clean rooms with hot water! beautiful rooftop courtyard with terrific breakfast provided. I chose to stay in centre for the shopping/ action, for some a 4th four walkup might be too much with the 4kft+ altitude. Nice to have a hearty breakfast on rooftop or sit out in the evenings away from the crowds &pollution of the traffic.Room was suffient for a place to sleep after your day trips but without a fan the windows have to stay open and its hard to get a good nights sleep because the sounds of birds dogs generators etc don't stop.
