GREAT AREA, SEEMED TO ALMOST BE IN LATIN AMERICA. WOULD LOVE TO LIVE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD. DON'T TRY TO GET TO SLEEP EARLY HERE (BEFORE 2AM) UNLESS YOU'RE DEAF. CLEAN TOWELS PROVIDED ONLY ONE TIME IN THREE DAYS

Pro: - The hostel is located right next to a nightclub, so you can be sure there is something to do. - The people there were helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. - Each bed has a locked drawer you can use to secure small bags or important items, they also have a secure room if you need a large bag secured. - 13 co-ed rooms are clean, bedding is clean, they provide blankets and pillows, etc, all clean as far as I could tell. con - the rooms are next to a club, which is a good thing if you want to go do something, but might be annoying if you are a light sleeper. I didn't have any problem, but some people might. - bathroom floor was kind of dirty, but then again i was in a room for 13 people, so I am not really surprised. wear flip flops when you go in and you're golden.

This hostel was not as expected. rooms were hot and stuffy, sheets were not clean, and bathroom wasn't cleaned in the private room prior to us coming. the shower was cold, no hot water, and a complete mystery on how to work. good points were the free high speed wireless and the good location. would pay extra for different place next time.... staff were cold and disinterested.

This hostel was good, but not in a very nice district, and a bit out of the way for a normal sightseeing holiday

Good place for young people, very clean and modern. Not great location, but transport is ok.

I loved staying in the Mission. The best neighborhood to base your stay in SF, as far as I'm concerned - cheap groceries and ethnic flavour abound - other parts of SF are either too gentrified (and therefore expensive) or too full of homeless people

Really rude staff, refused to put batteries into smoke alarm, and also elevator hasn't been inspected for years according to a certificate in it. Area is run down and rough to say the least, though good for nightlife.
