We needed a place to stay at close to the airport, and we found Elena Borgen. Safe neighbourhood and close to a supermarket, it was perfect for what we needed (7am flight out of town). The room was standard, didn't see any bugs, quiet, with a TV and very powerful fan. The owner was very sweet and had no trouble getting us a taxi at 4:30am to the airport. Staff are friendly, helpful, and honest. We forgot some belongings in our room at the beginning of our trip, and we got them back 10 days later before our flight home. the hostel is in an old building situated in a lovely residential area, very very clean. the staff are amongst the most friendly i have come across in central america. cable tv was a bonus! Sue, from Australia ~ 9th Jan 2009
