The hostel is more like an appartment turned into a hostel. It was very clean. The staff was nice, but the English was sometimes poor. Also, we had booked a doublebed room private and had to sleep in a 4 bedroom in the first night. This was not told beforehand but only on arrival. At least we were offered to change rooms next day. They offer luggage storage after check out time (which is 12am). A minus clearly is that the walls are very thin. There are no doors to the hallways where the rooms are. The staff was sometimes talking very loud very early in the morning or late in the evening. That was a bit annoying. Besides that we can recommend that hostel if you are traveling in a group. Decent not so expensive place.

Prime location in the centre of Riga. Old and shabby, but very clean. Helpful staff. It took a while for somebody to wake up and open the door in the night, even though they knew to expect me. Some drunken and noisy customers. Overall well worth the money, at least for a short stay.

Kitchen, but no cooking facilities (just a microwave and a kettle), quite clean, would go back.

we had a terrific time in the hostel. our hosts were very friendly and helpfull and answered all our questions, even concerning delicate political matters. The place was very clean and quiet and we will definitely try to get a reservation there on a future visit in Riga. Thanks, Michael & Doris

Great location just around the corner from Rigas train station. Also very easy to find coming by bus 22 from the airport. Very nice elderly lady who runs the hostel!

Hosthel is located at the death end of Elizabeth street. Not very far from city center and old town. Locatated in old uninteresting building. Staff is friendly. Rooms are poor. Kitchen is quit good. Hostel good for economy travel if price is the main factor of choice.
