One of the receptionists was extremely cold, rude and unhelpful. Strangers entered our private room in the middle of the night using a key from a different room..not very secure. Needs larger bathroom facilities. Would not recommend

Nice hostel with a good location just 10 min. out of the centre. Friendly staff. Lovely patio with palm trees makes it a perfect hostel in Darwin.

1st night arrived 1.30am and had to be up at 6am for start of tour. Put our sheets on doorstep only to be told by office woman that I was the silly bitch who didn't see the laundry bin next to the door. Not impressed as we were very tired.

If arriving by night make sure you have either a mobile phone or some change for a call box otherwise it is IMPOSSIBLE to check in! There is no reception staff or on-site security after 19:00. The pool is a tiny shady pond, no good if you like the Darwin heat! Plastic mattress and very basic rooms, however air con is good. In summary, very basic and average hostel.

This is one of the best hostels in Darwin at the moment. It is laid back, fun and chilled out. It has a homely feel to the place - not like those impersonal sterile super-hostels. The staff are so nice, down to earth and friendly. My room was clean and comfy with air-con, fan and a fridge. Kitchen is a tad small but there are two/three of them. Would defo recommend this place!

Receptionist left us waiting to check in while she chatted on the phone, which was quite rude.

The staff were excellent, very helpful! In terms of the hostel, a fair walk to town, not much amenities around, and my room was right beside the kitchen! Constant noise. No what I was looking for when booking a private room. I suppose it depends on what you're looking for.
