Location is very convenient (close to train station), rooms and furniture rather rudimentary, no lockers in the rooms Bartłomiej, from Poland ~ 15th Sep 2009

Cacho and Raluca are the nicest people at the reception I ever met. If you need help in finding an appartment in Florence, ask them! Sylvia, from Germany ~ 5th Sep 2009

Me and my sister stayed there for two nights and we couldn't have asked for a better hostel. The location was great and the shared bathrooms were very clean. The room that we stayed in was beautifully furnitured, it really surpassed our expectations. The staff was very nice and Riccardo made us coffie in the morning. If we ever visit Florence again we would love to stay at Emerald Fields. // Zuzan and Evin from Sweden. Zuzan, from Sweden ~ 10th Aug 2009

This place was great, spacious safe and clean.Tthere are only two drawbacks about it. The first being that you literally get lockedd out between 11am and 2pm for cleaning and the second being that their security checks the room all the time. Fine at reasonable times of the day...but at 4am when you're trying to sleep it gets a bit much. Would stay here again :-) Elisabeth, from Australia ~ 30th Jul 2009

It`s well located, clean and safe. The only problem is that sometimes it appears that there isn`t no one of the staff there. Guilherme, from Brazil ~ 28th Jul 2009

There were insects [Bedbug (Cimex lectularius)] in the bed and all arround inside of the hostel; all the peolpe in the room told to the guy in the reception and he got mad about it he said that it was not possible to do nothing untill the next day so we couldn't manage to sleep because you can't even seat in the bed. Look for another one because it is not the firs time that it happens in that hostel!!! And at the end they never offer us a discount or somethign for that and we paid a lot for a ve Marco Antonio, from Mexico ~ 20th Jul 2009

I really liked this hostel we had a triple room to ourselves so we didn't meet a ton of people but it was clean and safe in a nice area of the city. The staff was really strict about when they were cleaning and kind of assholes about it. But everything was clean and as long as you respected they cleaning time you were fine Aaron, from USA ~ 14th Jul 2009

There were two main downfalls to this hostel: 1) they "don't have a curfew" but the common rooms (kitchen included) closes at midnight...and the internet even gets cut off. SO, if you're out, then it doesn't matter, but if you're not, at midnight you either have to go to bed or wander around outside. 2nd downfall: The staff randomly check in the rooms, a lot...without so much as a knock (thank God I wasn't changing any of these times). Even at night, so I felt like I was being watched by my Stephen, from USA ~ 16th Jun 2009

When we arrived at the hostel we were moved to an apartment near the Accademia gallery. Therefore, the location was excellent. Our only gripe was the smell in the bathroom, it was awful. There was free laundry and a full kitchen (but only one pot.) Because we weren't in the main hostel, there wasn't opportunity for socializing. Have fun in Florence! Lydia, from USA ~ 9th Jun 2009
