superfriendly staff!! But that's is sadly the only reason to book this hostel. The rooms are overpriced, the location is poor and the rooms aren't very clean (we had bugs in our room). You're better of booking the YHA hostel in Hangzhou. Hub, from Netherlands ~ 9th Nov 2009

The staff were very friendly and helped us find an absolutely fantastic spot to view the solar eclipse in July 2009. The room we stayed in was great too, clean and well air conditioned. A little hard to find, but worth searching for! Sarah, from USA ~ 23rd Jul 2009

This was a wonderful hostel to stay in. I recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape from busy city life. The people are wonderful and the views are amazing. Plus really close to some wonderful tea farms w/ some great restaurants about 2 km away. Nanci, from USA ~ 21st Jul 2009

I had planned to stay in other hostel, though changed it in the last moment for this one, and I am very thankful for this place - all excellent, even this independent from both sides (nor staff, neither me) unexpected situation, that my booked room turned to be ... a tent, :) (it's booking service fault, that this information was NOT mentioned there), which we could together solve to mutual satisfaction. Such a warm, cosy, atmosphere! Both my mother and I really really enjoyed our stay here. The hospitality and thoughtfulness John and his lovely wife showered on us was so wonderful - so very helpful!
