I stayed in almost every single hostel in San Francisco. This one was by far the WORST. They didn't have a credit card machine, so I had to pay in cash. They didnt give me bedding, I had to ask for it. There were rats and mice in the room all night long(luckily I was on the top bunk). There also people living here. It was more like a homeless shelter that you had to pay for.... DO NOT stay at this hostel.

do not stay here! I repeat, do not stay here! the place is filthy, and the stuff is not nice. I made the reservation, went there and stayed 10 min in the room. it was so filthy and disgusting the whole place. not to mention you can hear people having sex. even before going to the room, I asked the guy if I can cancel my reservation and he said no. I left the place after 10 min and went and sleep at Days inn. it's work paying 20$ more and stay at the days inn ny the oakland airport.

This is the sketchiest hostel I have every stayed in. They didn't have my reservation when I checked in, but they had plenty of dorm beds. Gave me an extra flat sheet to use as a pillowcase because they had no other clean linens (when I checked in at 8pm). Man who said he "snuck in" was asleep in the room I was assigned to which was supposed to have been empty. Had to jiggle doorkey on average three minutes to get it to turn every time I locked or unlocked the door. When requested new key, tried it and was just as bad. Upon request of a different key was told there were only two keys to this 6-bed dorm room. Room was filthy.

this hostel did not require you to be a student or traveler to stay, unlike others i had stayed in. therefore, there were people simply living there. this opened the way to all night parties, drug dealing, and general inconsideration. not conducive to relaxation, sleep, or a sense of security. would not stay here again.

Very nice hostel in downtown San Francisco, just couple of blocks to Union Square, great shopping center. Hostel is in an old house but everything inside is in good condition. Staff is very friendly, especially you should try great food prepared by the very nice cooks)

there were 2 other women in the room that had been living in the hostel long term and they had so many belongings that they was hardly any room to walk in the room. At night I could hear rats moving around in the room. The room was dirty and the clean bed linens smelled dirty. I would never consider staying there again and would not recomended to anyone.
