The hostel has a great loungea and backyard. The staff were very helpful. Nice hostel, but in a poor location in my opinion. Just a bus connect it to the city centre, and doesn`t come that often. If you are driving, definitely a good stay!

The Youth Hostel is a good value for money. It is situated on a hill and you can get a very beautiful view of Bergen from the backyard. We stayed in a double room with attached bathroom. The room is small with a bunk bed but the place is very clean. There is a big kitchen where you can cook. The breakfast is really good. If you have a laptop, the internet is free. The only problem is it is far from the city and the bus service is not so good. The people at the reception are not so friendly. But I would recommend my friends to go there. If you have your own transport it is an ideal place to stay. Meena from Singapore

The hostel is good. It is a little far from downtown Bergen but bus transportation is excellent and a stop is close by so its not really an issue. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. There is a supermarket near by and combined with their kitchen will save you a ton of money in expensive Norway. My only problem with the hostel is that there were lots of high school tour groups staying in it every night and the noise at night was excessive with screaming, loud talks and running in the halls being a common occurrence. If you want to have a good night sleep it will be a problem. If you're a heavy sleeper then its not a problem and everything else is excellent.

Good location for views and walks up the mountain, a fair way from town. Take Plenty of change as you will have to pay for everything, inlcuding oven & kitchen facilities.

It was really clean and everyone staying there was really friendly but watch out for the crazy kitchen guy with the mustache, don't even think about taking a cheese slice out of that room!!!!

It is far away from the city center. The bus was always late. But it is located in a beautiful area, with a great view and close to mount Urliken. The staff didn't help much when I asked about fiord tours and busses to the airport, the information was always innacurate. I found it absurd having to pay to use the stove. Great breakfast, nice room and clean place.

Very clean, linen and towel is optional, 70 NOK. shower facility in the 2nd floor(first two doors in the left side when you go into the hall)is good. breakfast is good. BUT, only ONE bus to the city center, NEVER be on time. I almost missed the train going back home. In Bergen, please don't eat Fish & Chips in fishmarket. I'm begging you. lol
