Great location, and very clean. The breakfast included with the room is also very good!

Very dirty room, cockroaches in bathroom, extremely uncomfortable bed. Hotel unable to provide us with a cleaner room, so moved to another hotel. Very disappointed with this hotel. Very unhappy.

This hotel is rated as a 2 star establishment by the Tourism Authority, but quite frankly I wouldn't give it a monkey. The 2 stone cats that guard the property are about the only nice thing about this place. Upon arrival it would advisable to greet your guests with at least a smile and at best a 'hello' but at this hotel I felt anonymous when they didn't even look at us -not even when they checked our passports. Unbelieveable is the only word that can describe this hotel. Is it much to ask that the carpet is hoovered, and the shower plug is cleared of several (seemingly) previous other guests' hair? Come on Fangyuan, I don't mind basic room facilities but offer a clean product at least. After staying at this hotel, I have definitely rekindled the use of my favourite proverb 'you get what you pay for'. Stay at this hotel if you don't mind walking on dirt/dust and if you like peeling wallpaper.

+ : Ideally located, nice hotel (charming courtyard), nice decoration of the room ... - : but poor room (no window, light all night long from the corridor due to an internal window, daylight from 6 am due to another internal window), poor service (breakfast included in the price when checking in / on the bill when checking out ... but finally sorted out after a 45 minutes discussion) and over-priced (you can get much better deals in town).

The hotel did not know about my hostelword.com reservation and accidentally put us into a more expensive room. When I pointed out the mistake, we were given the internet rate, but me refund was not returned. Hostelworld.com did not bother responding to my email about the problem. If you know anything about Chinese culture, you'll know that it is highly unusual for a Chinese hotel to be so accomodating. I'd recommend this hotel, but I suggest you book it through another website since hostelworld.com doesn't seem to care too much about the concerns of its customers. As a western company, there is no excuse for this.
