This was a great place for me to stay for the night when i had a connecting flight, the discount on the food at the bar underneath was a great surprize!! However, the security seemed a little to relaxed in saying that i had no problems
HI Morgan . We are glad that you have enjoyed the food . We had a security camera installed at the reception area so that guests will be more at ease and guest are free to use the security lockers provided in the rooms . However, we will also look into tightening up the security for a peace of mind.

This hostel is one of the cleanest I ve been to. The room is not big and feels a bit small for 6. However the bathroom is clean. Internet access is good. I enjoy the common room and the good selectio of the books from the library. I would not mind going back to this hostel.

We will try to maximize out what we can do to make our guest's money worth here, unfortunately space is the most difficult to compromise here in Singapore. The Fernloft East Cost Hostel was overbooked so I was transferred to the Fernloft River Valley Hostel. So my feedback is for Fernloft RIVER VALLEY: Location is very good - only 10 minutes from Orchard Road and Chinatown. Supermarket and restaurants nearby. Hostel is very quiet, a lot of long term guests. It is not a party hostel. Friendly stuff. Fernloft East Cost has only two rooms and one bathroom. For the female dorm you have to go trough the mixed dorm.Nice restaurant in the basement.

It is very close to the airport. The east coast beach is nearby, very nice. The officers of the hostel is very friendly and helpful. The food in the pub of the hostel is good.

near to the beach and lots of buses across the road to take you all over singapore. free breakfast and welcome drink downstairs in the bar. only 1 toilet however which can be a problem if hostel full. quite small hostel and dorm rooms a bit crowded. staff very nice and welcoming emma, from England ~ 22nd Dec 2008
