Our second pre-booked stay, this was a bit better than the first. However, the wifi didn't work in this room.

Probably also didn't help that we booked a double room and ended up with a really pokey little room with two small singles...

Its a great location but the room is the size of a prison cell. Service not up to standard etc

Our room was filthy. THere was hair in the bathtub in room 44 and on the toilet. The floor and kitchen was dusty with spider webs and the there was old food that was molding left in the cupboards. The sheets in my students rooms, some had blood stains on them. Overall, the cleanliness was very poor and I can/t believe that we paid so much money for such quality.
The Floki Inn is less than a five minute walk into the center of Reyjkavik. The location itself is well worth the money. Though the rooms are small, they are cozy and clean. I'd recommend staying in Guesthouse One, as it's much nicer than the Guesthouse that has the reception area. The outside appearance of the Inn isn't that great, but for the price, it's just fine. We had a great time.
The Inn was not very close to the downtown area, which is where you want to be. The room smelled like smoke which we could not get rid of. The shower was absolutely horrible since the drain was clogged. The benefits here were a fridge and a tv (only two channels, but one was in English). I wouldn't return to the Floki.
