- “ The price/quality ratio was good. Using Train 7, the traveller can in very easy way to get into the downtown. There is also a public laundry in the near, so less change of clothes helps to pack easy. The room was equipped modestly. ”

- “ I made my reservation. When I landed in NYC at 10 pm I discovered that the #7 train was SLOW, so I called the hostel. "we do not have any beds" the staff said. Even if you have a reservation, we do not have a bed... We overbook..." I stayed here a year before and found the security, location, atmosphere, etc were quite sufficient. Being stranded in the middle of the night in the middle of the city is NOT a business plan. No phone call No email. No refund No warning... Staff WAS empathetic. ”

- “ It has a good neigborhood, different people from all over the world. One problem is that we only have wifi signal in the first floor. ”

- “ Not bad. But I had to sleep in a room with a bed for two people - that was awful - you couldn't even sit on this bed as the second one was to low. The rooms are too small ”

- “ When I was there, on July 14, there was a leak of water from the ceiling. Probably coming from the upstairs toilets given the smell... The water was dripping through the light fixtures on the ceiling and there were paddles on the floor. This didn't seem to worry the maintenance guy there that did not seem to understand very well english. But I really think that this situation was particularly dangerous and could have ended up in a disaster. I decided not using the bathroom area this night :-( ”

- “ I stayed here for 5 days. They gave me a room with three beds, even though I was travelling solo, so it was nice. There was wifi on the common areas, even though I would have preferred wifi in the rooms as well. This is really a community center of sorts, where the residents come to use the sauna / gym / pool facilities, and holiday camps for children were run, so it is not a usual hotel or hostel in that sense. That said, I was driving, and the location did not matter - parking was free. ”

- “ The location is pretty bad! It takes more than 50 min to get to Manhattan (ok, I knew it). Besides, this district is a little bit nasty. The room was absolutely warm and the aircon didn't work out properly. That made me feel pretty bad. The cleanliness of the showers could be better. The staff was helpful in general, except whenever I've checked out, whose guy was not interested in at all! I had to ask him once more if everything was fine and checkout confirmed. No reaction! ”
