Pretty far removed from Kilkenny if you want to go to the pubs at night, but besides that, great.

Due to the necessity to leave the hostel at 10am, not permitted to return until 5pm and also a curfew is in place (not mentioned in web page or in terms) we decided not to stay there.

Male dorm is on floor 6 and male toilet is out the back door on floor one. Makes for a long walk for a midnight potty call! Owner/operator lives on floor three and would rather not have 20 people on the grounds so why are they running a hostel?

This was the most Irish place we stayed. Zoe was wonderful to bring us to the roof. The cows and birds added to the ambiance. It would've been nice to have towels but not a problem.

The girl's dorm restroom smelled terrible and was much dingier than restrooms available at campgrounds in Killarney, Tralee, and Doolin that I had stayed in during my trip.

had a great time, met some very interesting people, good link-up, 61 stairs to bathroom in need was a bit daunting, and it is not for the decrepit. Some guests need reminders in writing about dumping their leftovers in clearly marked re-cycle bins, and also to clean up after themselves. All in all,it was a wonderful experience, and the price is just right for those on a budget!

Weird!! If you're into castles then you may enjoy otherwise you will find it weird like me! Literally in the middle of nowhere. Absolutely no locks on doors. Average semi-detatched bathroom facilities. And you get charged £2 for a bed sheet which I wasn't expecting. I would not stay here again.

This was a pretty fun place to stay. It was way out there but it was worth going out for just for the experience.
