Initially, the hostel is hard to find, i roughly know its direction from the Kembangan MRT station, because there isn't any big sign board indicate it is Frankel hostel, even I am standing right in front of the building I wouldn't know that is the building. my advice is, please check your email before you go to the hostel as they will email you the photo of the building and the instruction of self check-in. The facilities there is considered ok if for a one night stay, the self check-in, is fres LOO, from Malaysia ~ 12th Oct 2009

There is no commom area, no office, just a phone, computer, and self check in. I booked for one night and arrived around 11am and wanted to drop off my luggage but no one there so left and came back around 7pm. still no one there so i called and check myself in. I was the only there. the rooms are dirty and the beds are about to fall apart. i dropped my $15 in the deposit box and went looking for a different place to stay. you can find better and cheaper hostels and in the city. This hostel is clean, and the staff (Lee) is friendly, but this is not a hostel for party peoples, as it is out in the suburbs and the trains stop at about midnight. The safe deposit boxes also do not work, but the room seems secure enough if you take precautions. This hostel would suit an older traveller, although you need to travel to go to any sites. The 24 hour food court downstairs is good, though, and the beers aren't too expensive. Fraser, from Scotland ~ 25th Sep 2009

Mr Lee was polite and helpful in giving us directions to the hotel and help us through the self sevice check in and payment. However the room was awful lacking in character, damp and smelly, sheets and towels were threadbare, tiles were coming off the wall in bathroom window has no glass, blinds were falling apart. Room windows did not close properly and therefore very noisy as hostel is on the main road with a 24 hour restaurant below. Mattresses were old and lumpy. cannot recommend this place. hi lee, was so tied up with my sked that\'s why it took me so long to reply. i enjoyed ur place except.. it\'s on a 3rd floor so i had hard time going up and down, but the location was perfect, accessible to alll types of transpo. given the chance i still look forward to booking with u. thanks much for all the help. i just wish you could take a mezzanine or a ground floor. Not as central as some hostels, but access to the city via the MRT (train) is quick and cheap - about 11 minutes to BUGIS station. A few minutes flat walk to Kambalang station. Trains run very frequently. Ground floor is a 24 hour open sided restaurant with a large range of local dishes and reasonable prices. Self check in system worked very well for me. Mr Lee visits late each evening. Very friendly and helpful with local information. Wireless internet works well, and there is also a shared PC Russell, from New Zealand ~ 23rd Feb 2009
