  • Booked a private dorm for 6 people. The staff was friendly and nice, there is always a receptionist on the desk, 24 hours bar, and the common area and kitchen are also spacious. The big problem here is the lack of room in the dorms. There is only room for the beds, and no space at all for luggage. Our room was so small that we had to take part of our belongings to the cars so we could fit in. And be awarded that shower and hot shower is not the same, as there was hot water in only 1 shower.

  • Very nice atmopshere in the hostel. We were there on low season and on a thursday, so it was quite empty, but I guess it's the perfect place to meet people and to begin a party on week-ends :) The staff was very nice and helped with all our questions, and the free welcome beer is of course very cool ;)

  • Welcome beer was very nice to get! Everything was fine, except the kitchen was closed very early - we wanted hot tea after coming back, but we couldn't get it, as the kitchen was already closed.

  • The welcome beer and staff were awesome! The only problem I had was that the water for my shower was really cold - but, that having been said, I will still stay there when I decide to return to the wonderful city of Riga!

  • We stayed in the double bed ensuite in August 2012 and were quite satisfied with everything. The location is excellent, right in the city center. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating by organizing fun activities. The nightly pub crawl is a great time as well. Overall a great time and value.

  • Very nice hostel, breakfast, towels included and well-equipped kitchen!! unfortunately, our room was on the front side facing a busy main road, so it was rather noisy in the night. apart from this, it was great

  • Great place to stay. The staff are excellent and the tours that they run are absolutely brilliant! Well worth doing if you want to know more about the city, but don't want to spend a fortune on a tour. We did get woken up in the early hours of the morning by two girls coming in from a night out, but as Frank's is a self-confessed "party hostel" we were expecting this. Apart from this, the hostel was lively and friendly and the rooms were fairly chilled out and quiet for the rest of the time.

  • Stayed here with my wife and young kids. Staff was great and the washrooms were as clean as any hostel I'd ever been in. Big kitchen and a secondary eating area with lots of dishes and tables. We'd stay here again without hesitation.

  • Staffs were really friendly, humorous, warm-hearted, and the most interesting things was they arranged so many various range of tour program from city tour to bar tour of Riga. The location of the hostel is good, since it's in the entrance of the old town, but it would be a little bit noisy at the night, because it is right next to the drive ways. Apart from those things, I really enjoyed staying here and have fun in Riga.

  • Nice hostel if you like to go out and party, but if you just want to sleep quiet, it is good as well. They arrange pub tours every night which aren't too expensive. Bar staff is really friendly as well as my fellow travellers were. Instructions from the airport were clear and the hostel easy to find. I would certainly recommend this hostel in Riga.

  • Really enjoyed my stay there. However, I found it more like a Tabern with a hostel than the opposite case. Not quite a quiet place however, if you´re planning to go clubbing or partying, there shouldn´t be a better space. Good luck finding the showers with really hot water!

  • This is a superbe youth hostel in Riga! It is the best I've ever visited! You get all what you need during your stay in Riga. Very good services with free guided tours through the town and other services. This youth hostel is a must if you stay in Riga!! And, in addition, it is very cheap too!
