Funky Granada in Fukuoka City, Spain

quite nice hostel with perfect location, but very cold!!!!! :( (even if there is a heating in the room) stuff is nice and very helpful and the rooms are also nice and have their own bath! but the living room, breakfast and atmosphere were uninviting! :( Anne-kathrin, from Germany ~ 15th Apr 2012

I thought the tapas tour was a lot of fun. The biggest problems that we had were that the hostel did not have any copies of the key to our room, so we had to be asked to get let in every time we wanted to grab something or sleep. Also, I feel that hostels should be reserved for youth´s (especially this one!) and having an old woman in the room ruins the atmosphere. Also, on some of the bunks there were no ladders which made it hard to climb up onto the bed. Overall the staff was helpful. Carolyn, from USA ~ 11th Apr 2012

In general, i was content with the hostel, it is located in the city center, the staff is nice and welcoming. Only one thing surprised me and that is that i had paid for a 6-bed room and actually stayed in a 7-bed room. Tina Martina, from Slovakia ~ 17th Apr 2012

We really enjoyed our stay at Funky - the location is excellent and this place is brimming in charm and character. The staff are very friendly - though we had a bit of a problem on the first night because the "double bed" that my friend and I booked was really more of a semi-double. We pointed this out straight away but the staff didn't react. After a rather sleepless, cramped night, the staff kindly put another single bed in the deluxe double room, so the next night was perfect. Victoria Kikko, from England ~ 1st Apr 2012

Breakfast in the basement VERY average. Staff seemed busy all the time but a lot of them seemed not to know what they were doing. Again, wish they could have recommended good places to eat that were ACTUALLY good. Bed in the kitchenette area of our room was annoying for my travel partner, as when a new guest was shown in, the staff and guest turned on light and spoke loudly.
