Very fun, but I would have rather stayed in the hotel instead of the farm-like dorms in the back area. The shower room/bathroom/laundry room was downstairs and outside, and there was no toilet paper in the watercloset on my floor the entire trip. The best part is having the sign ups for activities like paragliding right in the lobby, as well as the bars on site.

Without a shadow of a doubt the BEST hostel we have stayed at. Staff are brilliant and everybody is up for a good time. The adventure sports desk is a major added bonus as is the Guinness tent.

We felt very much on holiday throughout our stay, which cannot be said for all places...staff was very helpful and professional, and food was very much to our liking, too- now the best thing: we were able to take our dog with us. That alone was worth choosing funny farm! A wonderful weekend with no hassles!!!!Thank you so much. Liz, Sharon, Uli and Gabriel

Good location, lots of fun if you´re into parties! Nice staff, nice people, the walls are paper thin and the place isn´t very clean...but I would stay there again!

Good place to stay. Everything is near by. The hotel is very large and kind of scary looking. No kitchen which kind of sucked but great place to book your adventures.

Hostel was much worse than expected. The place was falling apart, showers did not always have hot water, and some of the staff was less than kind, saying "what did you expect for 30 francs." Well, we've been to places many times better for half the price. I suggest going to the hostel next door, Balmer's Herbage, as it looks much nicer, internet is cheaper, has a store with a 10% discount on Swiss knives for guests, and everything else is much more accessible.

My roommate was so horrible. If you don't want to meet Asian he souldn't travel around world. Room was good but it takes about 15 min? well.. I don't think so. There is no kitchen stuff except refrigerator.

The name Funny-Farm descrives everything very well. The accommodation is exactly like a very old wooden farm house. Very noisy when you are walking. Poor bed. No ladder. Outside a swimming pool and a howaian bar. Party all night. Very noisy too. No curtain, so very bright in the morning. Vacumming at 7 A.M. Don't expect to sleep. Balmer's Herberge is nearby and looks too good. Go to Balmer if you can. This is my honest advise.

Great place to meet people and loads to do. Staff did a great job helping choose extreme activities. Rooms are ok but getting locked out gets annoying.

Lots to do right at the hostel, you don't even need to leave at night. The staff is very nice, they set up all of your activities for you and make it very easy. Facilities are very nice for a hostel, they have a sand volleyball court, pool, outdoor bar.....we never struggled for something to do. I would stay here again. For the price and the things this hostel has to offer, it was not bad at all.
