Fantastic hostel, with purpose-built facilities to meet all a backpacker's different needs. Excellent lounge area and great kitchen facilities accompany spotless rooms. Be advised though, the shower facilities are communal. Lars the guy at reception is first class. I wish more hostels had the attitude and approach GastHaus Bremer! As someone told us before, avoid staying in this hostel if you are supoosed to check out earlier and have a comittment like a concert. Nobody is going to make any arrangement for you to hand the key in just before 8 AM whenever the reception is finally open. This way, You ll have to hand it in by 1 AM, the night before, otherwise, you'll have to wait. The guy who worked for the past Sunday morning was really friendly and spoke such great english.
