Clean and friendly overall, and a very nice location with accessibility to downtown but not in downtown. Right near the way out of the city, so very convenient if you are moving around a lot. Also, right near the giant city park, and we really enjoyed morning runs in the park. One of the few locations you can exercise without worrying about getting hit by a crazy auto driver. The only problem was that there seemed to always be a shortage of toilet paper.

The staff here is extremely helpful, from calling taxis to airport transportation. They are helpful in every way possible. We felt right at home here; it's is a very comfortable place to stay. They even made us pancakes for breakfast! We enjoyed talking with the many nice guests. If you stay here, be sure to say hello to Maria, the sweet little mascot who watches over everything going on.

Free wi fi, free cable TV in the room, helpful staff... I wouldn't stay anywhere else in San Jose.
Gaudys Hostel is a good choice, they picked us up from the airport when we arrived which is cheaper than a taxi. The rooms were clean and safe and the staff very helpful, and we went back to stay there between trips. Location isn't the best but i would go back there again.

We liked the hostel and the atmosphere, but make sure that you don´t stay in room concha, there is no space for nothing!
Wonderful place to crash in San Jose! The rooms are comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, the staff friendly, and the neighborhood is VERY safe. There is plenty of nice common lounge space, a a cable TV, and even a foozball table. I won't stay anywhere else in San Jose.
