This hostel was right in the heart of everything, no need for the metro to most places you'd walk it just as quick! We were told in the hostel that the street surrounding it can be risky, and to take extra care at night, but we never once felt at threat, we felt very safe the duration of our stay. I would highly reccommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Puerta del Sol, the staff were really friendly as were the other people staying at the hostel. The location was perfect for short breaks in Madrid as everything was within easy reach. It was also great to have the breakfast included. Would definitely recommend this hostel for those who want to see all the sights of Madrid in a short space of time.

The hostel was better than expected. We got a very large room with very large comfortable beds and a tv with cable. The bathrooms were cleaned every day so sharing bathrooms with other rooms wasn't too bad. The only issue I had was with the breakfast and the fact that it never changed day to day. By the third breakfast we had there, we were completely sick of the food.
NIce and quiet at night - great location and didn't really stay there all that much to much to do in a place like Madrid - pls say it was a great place
the room was nice and clean, staff was friendly. Its absolutely no problem for non Gays.
