- “ A very peaceful place amidst nature and wildlife, but still not far away from town. We really loved staying there, and would stay there longer if we had the time (wouldn't mind living like that either!). The beds were comfortable and they offered delicious vegetarian meals. Seems to be a lot of things to do and a lot of nature to see, and of course the visit to Yala national park is mandatory - don't miss it! ”

“ During my 5 weeks in Sri Lanka Gem River Edge was the best and most peaceful of them all. The staff of the hostel was the most kindful and caring people I have ever met. If you want to live extremely close to the nature, this is the perfect place for you. Very close to the hostel (in the back yard) the gem river is located. When we first arrived the owner took us down to the river and showed a crockodile just like that. He also fixed our trip to yala national park for a good price! ”
Thank you very much for your kind and positive review. We are very happy to satisfy the needs of our guests. It's our duty, to make you fell like in the perfect place of your holidays or of your trip. We like to offer you and our guests a diferent stay, far from a conventional /massive tourism, where everybody is welcome to enjoy the tranquility and kindness of the hospitality in a natural heritage.

- “ Beautiful rooms in quiet location. Excellent staff. Good Sri Lankan cuisine. Only criticism is need to take own alcohol as only sell wine with dinner, which is of course expensive. However, a definite recommendation. Lisa ”
