Germany Hostel in Ios, Hong Kong

Arrived one hour later at the hostel than we noted at the reservation-the gave our room to another person! wanted to put us in a dormitory (we reserved a double room with bathroom).We discussed with them and got a one meter bed for 2 persons and with a DISGUSTING bathroom, fetid blanket! whole bathroom full of mould.room not in booked hostel!second night we got the room we booked,was quite OK.Didn't got some money back-wouldn'd have paid more than 4 Euro for the other room (we paid 18!)! Making people happy, is making your business rich. People don't need you to bag them or even treat them like your friends. Keeping the smile all the time. Doing whatever they asked for right away. Freedom is what travelers are looking for. Not lot of rules because they want brake from their Mothers and dads. Be positive. Don'tstereotype whoever believe your religion. Always remember that without your customers your business will shut. Don't be smart. Customers are not stupid.

actualy he very smart customer ,,he booked mix dorm bed and looking for private bed room , even another customer go inside the room he is very rudy and say dnt disturb me ,, he dont have money . if we want abt rent he say i gave u later and he say i find the job and give u later he is from moroco. when he cheack out he want keep the bag here for one month and ask to us he looking for job and take a bag later. even then when we go to dormetry for cleaning he say dnt clean the room also he dnt want clean the toilet, we provide free coffee and tea and also give free laoundry..and free internet service,

We booked the Germany Hostel only to find our that it was 1 of 9 hostels owned by the same people. We read about how nice the German owner was, and we based our choice on the pictures. When we got there, we were put in the Paris hostel, directly outside the reception office. We could hear the phone ringing and people walking in and out all night. The entrance of the Chungking Mansions might be a bit intimidating at the beginning but the place itself is clean but a bit tiny. If you have no problems taking a shower over a toilet, then you are ok. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Just the owner makes a big fuss about the return of your key deposit. It appears that if you cannot provide your receipt anymore, it will not be given back, though the deposit should be same for everybody??? Astrid, from Germany ~ 16th Oct 2011

The TV location is very bad. 3 out of 4 beds can not viewed it. TV reception and selections are not so good neither. May be it only happened in a certain rooms. evans, from USA ~ 13th Sep 2011

We had a nice stay at Germany Hostel in HongKong. The room was small but brand new and comfortable (hot water, aircon). The location is nice and also funny very close to city spots in a big crowded building.. Finally the staff was really kind. We would go back to this Guesthouse Basil, from Switzerland ~ 7th Jul 2011
