Global Village Backpacker in Blackpool, New Zealand

We loved the character of this place. The only thing keeping us from giving top marks is the grouchy staff. It's an excellent facility with a lot of neat decorating, clean kitchen however, the owner tends to hover and you feel like you're being babysat. He actually yelled at my husband when we came in from using the hot tub my husband's swim trunks trickled water in the entry the owner was upset that we hadn't "wiped our feet".
