one tip if staying here = Do NOT turn LEFT out of this hostel!!!!. I made this mistake & 1 x block left & you are right in the ghetto. Me > single white female alone .. very intimidating area, turned around pretty sharpish i can tell you. However, the other way, right, is bang in the center of great shopping & bars etc of market street. Free internet at the hostel was brilliant, more hostels should offer this. Staff were very friendly & helpful too.

Rooms have new rugs and had been painted since I stayed here last time. Great location in the center of the city.

A really calm, nice place to stay. There for only a night, felt immediately like home. Thanks! Hopefully I will be back really soon!

Hostel was in a dodgy area, the rooms were tatty, mattress was horrible. only one shower, which I could find and the toilets were gross!!! would not recommend this property.

it was an ok hostel, nothing special but not bad. however, there was a disgusting smell in the carpet, in the entrance and in the bedroom.

The location is the real draw here, particularly for the price of this hostel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean enough, but we didn't really spend enough time in the hostel to tell much more than that.

The room and bathroom were nice and clean. The 6-bed mix dorm was quiet, and I could sleep warm at the cold San Francisco's summer night.

The sheets were clean...that's a good thing. It's near the Tenderloin with the homeless, but they're not right in front...that's a good thing. The stairway up to the rooms stinks...that's not a good thing. The room didn't stink. The roomies were nice.
