Helpful staff, good location and fairly clean. The only drawback: smoking is allowed in the downstairs bar. Also, since this is an old building, the noise from outside is audible in the bedrooms. Some guests decided it would be fun to go do fireworks outside until 1:00. The staff might want to add a notice asking people not to be so noisy outside after 22:00 in English. Foreign guests tend to forget that Japan is a little bit more quiet and considerate than some countries.

This is a brilliant place to stay - arty, lots going on ,laid back. The private rooms are best as you have a table etc and dont get woken up all the time. would recommend

We enjoyed our stay there, the staff were very nice and helpful. The free drink you get everyday to have in the cafe was cool. Our room however was a bit 'old' and the bathroom could do with some refurbishing...

Very nice place to stay, especially if you are looking to relax a bit. We were a little disappointed that the cafe/bar wasn't more lively and closed up so early (10 PM), but we still had a good time.
