My stay at the Gobi was great! I was impressed with how clean and well-run it was (I once ran a backpackers!). They provided a great pick-up service from the train station and the free breakfast and coffee was a nice touch when you got there. I went on one of their short tours, and apart from running out of fuel at the start, it was well organised - they even provided us with extra sleeping bags for free. The living are becomes a little crowded at times, but on the whole I found it to be c Ed, from South Africa ~ 1st Nov 2009

I highly recommend Golden Gobi. They picked us up at the train station, provived clean and comfortable dorm bed, their was a very friendly atmosphere, and most importantly they offered good quality tours for the cheapest going price according to friends we new in UB. Ian, from USA ~ 12th Oct 2009

Very enjoyable place to stay, and an excellent base camp for exploring Mongolia. Previous negative reviews are harsh - the owners are a very jolly, fun-loving family. This is not a subdude hostel, but it is very welcoming and fun! Rowan, from England ~ 11th Sep 2009

Please look for another place. The staff here is horrible. Rooms are oke, but a lot of bookings go wrong! Tours are much to expensive, go to UB guesthouse! Dennis, from Netherlands ~ 23rd Aug 2009

The location is excellent, but the staff could be more helpful and try to impose some silence during the night. Sergio, from Portugal ~ 8th Aug 2009

The staff here could not be ruder and unfriendly. They lost our booking, (although they did find us a room eventually, which we had to change several times during our stay), and they we constantly rude and unpleasant to deal with. We have travelled for 10 months and this is the worst place we have stayed. The location is good though and when you do get a room it's not bad. The staff's attitude though is not worth it and there are plenaty of better run places to stay which we went to instead. Enfys, from Wales ~ 21st Jul 2009
