Although we all expect to rough it a bit in a hostel, especially one this cheap, my dorm was really pretty disgusting. Mouldy bathroom, smelly carpet, broken blind and the dorm seemed to be a dumping ground for previous occupants\' unwashed belongings. However, I did begin my stay in a private room and this was very good. The building itself had decent security but there are no lockers in the rooms and the window in my ground floor dorm was permanantly open. The hostel was in a great location in the King's Cross neighborhood and conveniently located near the train station stop. The downside was that the private rooms I stayed in for two different trips had disgusting bathrooms. If you wear flip-flops in the shower, it's bearable. Also, the noise in the courtyard can be a bit much, but is usually dies down after 10:30. Janet, from USA ~ 9th Dec 2008
