- “ I stayed at the GF for 1 night while traveling to YangShuo. I arrived very late abut the staff greeted me with friendly hellos and help get me settled even though they were clearly tired. The next day they arranged my "bamboo" raft and bus trip to Yangshuo and provided me with the note I needed to purchase a train ticket to Hangzhou 3. They also let me leave a bag for 2 days. Great staff! Basic facilities, good location, clean & safe. A bit noisy because of echoing hallways. I'll be back! ”

- “ So far it's my favourite hostel in China, the dorms are clean, free washing, free internet and cheap delicious meals (I will miss the Swiss breakfast!). Above everything, the girls behind the desk are incredibly helpful and friendly. Thanks Green Forest! ”

- “ Got a room for two at the price of two beds in Dorm-type room, that was pretty cool; the room was clean enough, but the bathroom had some problems with a drain, so we had to mop the water a lot everytime after taking a shower. Nothing special with a security; location is pretty nice, close to the center of the city and train/bus stations. Staff is really friendly and speaks good English; free courses in Basic Mahjong feel awesome, thanks a lot! Free coffee/tea upon arrival is nice too. ”

- “ I know a lot of people say this... But this would actually have to be one of the best hostels I've stayed in. great atmosphere. The rooms were superb, huge bunks( really comfy), great staff so willing to help in anyway they could. when all the computers were taken they would get out iPads for people. Go there! It's wonderful. ”

- “ The location is really great. It is near the water and very close to both the train and bus stations (less than 10 minutes.) The staff are quite helpful and kind. I image the river view rooms are great, but my bunk room was a little dank with no natural light. However, things are clean and well tended. Worth a stay for the low cost, location, and staff. ”

- “ This is the location for travelers who are looking for somewhere near the bus and train stations. The only difficult part if the taxi driver is hard to locate the place for you. Some of the staff are rude and not clear in her answer. It gives a spin for the hotel guest who expect some decent answer. Anyway, wish to give credit a male staff who is diligent and try hard to help when we are in need. ”
