- “ We had a bad experience with especially the cleanliness of this hostel. Hairs in the beds, and bathrooms that were so dirty and gross that we hardly dared to even go to the toilet, let alone take a shower. Luckily, the staff was pretty ok (we even met some VERY NICE staff members), and we could leave after one night without too much problems. They solved it very good, and I think that's a big plus. I will, however, try and avoid YMCA's in the future.. Also: there's NO WIFI! ”

- “ Greenpoint YMCA is very nice. Great people, great location, everyone is friendly and helpful. The lodging is very secure. The staff has to buzz you through the door, bathrooms and showers are with keys and clean. Guests have access to the pool, sauna and other YMCA facilities. Value for $$ is excellent. I had a private small room and this included free breakfast in a restaurant. The building is 1 block from a subway and just a few stations from 42nd street with switching trains once. It was nice ”
