- “ This had to be one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Amazing experience! Thanks for the tea and ride ;) ”

- “ Pongyi is a small, but comfortable and cozy hostel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, and strive to make your stay there as nice as possible. They make a point to introduce you to the other guests and had a nabe party while I was there, which was a nice way to mingle. It's a bit of a walk to the sights, but close to Kanazawa station, and bus stops that will get you around the city. The beds were very comfortable, and I appreciated the curtains that gave a bit of privacy. ”

- “ Pongyi is one of the best hostels in the world! The location is great right near the JR Station. To get to the center you simply follow a cute canal. The guesthouse is really cozy. But the greatest factor were the wonderful hosts who were so kind and helpful. One night we learned how to make origami cranes while we drank homemade Soju. Highly recommended! ”

- “ When we arrived we were surprised by how small Pongyi was, but that just added to its charm.A 120 year old building, prevously a kimono shop! were amazing and included all guests in dinner plans and origami lessons every day.Trying other guests special seafood and sharing our Ramen was great.Dorms were clean and bedding excellent.Very small bathroom and kitchen was only thing we could criticise. Many thanks for a really great experience and memorable stay! ”
