  • The couple who runs this hostel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms and all other areas were wet clean, including the bathrooms. The hostel us RIGHT ABOVEBOARD a post office and a dry cleaner's. Don't look for one of the lit up signs for the hostel name - just look for the post office and then find the door to the hostel next to it. The hostel is a five min walk from mikuni station and changing from shin - Osaka / Osaka was a bit troublesome Because of how huge these stations are.

  • Very friendly staff that speak good English. Answered every question we had and gave good advice about the local area. The common areas are kept very clean. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone taking a short trip to Osaka.

  • Great little hostel in an interesting non tourist area of Osaka. Very easy to find, as long as you are familiar with Japanese cities and style of directions! The family are really friendly and give so much advice for tourists about what to see and how to get there etc. If you want a quiet, relaxing base for Kansai sightseeing, then this is the place for you!

  • My cousin and I stayed here for a night and we really enjoyed their traditional Japanese rooms. We got a private room and slept on futons on a tatami floor. It was a great experience! We wanted a quiet and relaxing place to stay and this was perfect! The staff was also very kind. We checked in very late and checked out very early, but they were extremely accommodating in our short stay there!

  • After a few bad experience with other hostels in Japan, I realized hostel caminoro has both the kindest staff and the cleanest facilities. It's very hard to lower one's standard toward hostels after staying at Caminoro.
