Guesthouse VENTEN in Bled, Japan

Venten is best suited for very alternative travellers.It did not live up to the way it was portrayed on the website or our expectations based on that.The owners are lovely but speak very limited English.It is quaint and would suit very laid back people but it is quite a distance from JR station and unless you know your way around Kyoto that could be a problem.Our room was really a backyard shed disguised by bamboo lattice and the bathroom facilities were in the main house and had to be accessed Morag, from Australia ~ 4th Nov 2011

VENTEN was nice place to chill out with selective electro sound that the hippie host chooses everyday in Japanese traditonal house. it located little bit far from subway with luggage though, it was very clean and calm. i stayed a room not the dorm cause, it's so hot. the room has an airconditon but dorm one's small. except it, perfect place for me to enjoy Tokyo.(VENTEN has a massager - ) JIEUN, from South Korea ~ 27th Aug 2011
