The English speaking owner David Tu is a great guy and goes out of his way to help book tours, trains, etc. Very neat place with great character.

It is more like a hotel, than a hostel. The rooms is very good, clean and big. Excellent hostel! The location is great and the staff is very helpful. You will surely get a good deal, if you use their recommendations for places to eat or arranged tours.

Wauw! We didn\'t expect the hostel was that OK. We called the hostel for directions, but the girl didn\'t speak any English and hang up. But one minute later, the boss called me back and gave me the directions to the hostel in English. The reception is also the bar of the hostel, you can have some drinks there, you can only have Western Breakfast, which is expensive for what you get. Furthermore, the price for laundry is 10 yuan and free towels. The hostel is next to the lake with the 2 pagoda\'s and 1 street away from the center. Defenitely recommended!!!

Very nice hostel. Great location and very nice rooms. Not much to do there, but that's not really the point. If you go all the way to China you probably don't plan on hanging out in the room.

I loved this hostel, and it was a bit sad that the television went off every so often. There was also a period when the power would go out and come back on. Don't let that stop you from coming to this wonderful hostel though

Great hostel with superb service. Got picked up at the airport without any problems and had an introduction to Guilin and the Li River on the way. David arranged the river tour on our arrival way past 10 at night for the next morning when he picked us up again and drove us to the meeting point. The rooms are fantastic, impressively clean and spacious, definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone!
