I wouldn't stay here again. We had the courtyard room which was very noisy especially in the morning when the Chinese tour groups were up and getting ready for the day's activities. When we checked in we were treated to a screaming and yelling match between what appeared to be the propriator and the woman at the desk getting our passport info. I wasn't certain whether or not he was complaining about our arrival, but we did have a Hostelworld reservation so maybe he was angry at something else. The courtyard is very beautiful but it is often packed with cars and vans.

wonderful place, super friendly staff (despite a lack of english and our lack of chinese) tea ceremony was special. close enough to the action but still far enough removed to get some peace.

This place is really great, with antique furniture and stuff in the rooms its full of character, also the lady who speaks english and runs the place is one of the most helpful people Ive rcome across. I'd recommend this place to anybody!!
Im Teresa from Spain again Im sorry but Ive mistake in my average before because I thought that it was another hostel. This one is very nice and clean, people are so helpful and is well located in old Dali. Im so sorry for the mistake!

Horrible hostel. It is localted in a very noisy place, close to bars with very loudl music. not very kind people, dirty and with hot water only some times.

They did not recognize my booking even though i had a Chinese person with me interpreting. therefore i had to pay the full accomadation rate. Not very impressed. Will not recommend it.

The staff are very welcoming here and its just a short walk from foreigner street. I'd stay again.
